- Founded in august 1983 at Melun in France.
- Goal : to promote and to distribute cultural facts by means of image and sound, to produce new musics, electro-acoustics, minimalists, ambient, electro, etc.
- From 1983 to 1989, 56 tapes were produced (bands and musicians from France, Usa, Norway, Belgium, England, Italy and Spain).
- In 1989, there is a restructure of Fraction Studio, mainly producing the french band No Unauthorized, M.Nomized. But also Kora and The Golozos.
- In 1990, creation of a parallel label to Fraction Studio: Minimart Production. This label's main goal is to collect graphic works (paintings, photographies, poems, collages, etc.) from all countries without any distinction. All these works are archeived. Minimart Production also exchanges works with other artists. These exchanges have allowed artist M.Nomized to be able to put out a show of paintings and collages. Minimart Production and M.Nomized are part to the Mail Art network.
- Since 1986, Fraction Studio collects musics, poems, sound montages, songs, noises, etc... this to first of all create a file. Secondly, these archives are put on compilations.
- Since 1985, Fraction Studio has produced every year a compilation on a specific theme. Countries that have participated or are participating: France, Usa, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Austria, Canada, England, Italy, Japan, Holland, Norway, Israel, Portugal, etc.
- Five festivals have been organized with presentation of the different bands produced and a show of the paintings. Several belgium musicians have participated. All styles are represented: electro-acoustic, punk, songs, industrial music, jazz, theater plays, minimalist music or new music, pop, etc. With : Kora, Neutral Project, Misère Noire, Vision De Korningue, Les Excuses, Satanas, Elephant, Hymn, Dz Lectric, Anthon Shield, The Grief, M.Nomized, Tircis, Zone Verte, Jean Louis Descloux, Costes, Les Titi's, X Ray Pop, No Unauthorized, In Aeternam Vale, L'Eponge Synthétique, The President, Triogulaire.
- In 1992, Fraction Studio constitutes a file of the bands and musicians of the world. There is also a collaboration with a recording studio for the production of demos for local bands, for musicians, singers, for bands of alternative network tapes, etc.
- Since 1999, Fraction Studio start to produce Cds, Cdrs. Collaborations for different projects and labels. 50 cds are produced.
- In 2006 all continue… Not end, not finish…
